Georg Fischer regards its industrial and social commitment as a long-term undertaking. Its aim is to be a preferred partner for all dialogue groups and to stand out for its responsible, sustainability-conscious behaviour and continuity. The Corporation takes its economic, environmental and social responsibilities very seriously at all levels and reports on them regularly.

The company has summarized its values into a set of principles valid for all its activities. The Code of Conduct lays down rules concerning corporate responsibility as well as staff behaviour towards all stakeholders. In June 2008 GF published its third separate sustainability report. The report is based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, which lay down the globally recognized requirements that companies should fulfill in their sustainability reporting.
